I’ve just finished this cover of ‘Brandy (You’re a fine girl)’, from Looking Glass.. Jules and I have been watching season 3 of ‘Ozarks’ and this song featured in one of the episodes.. hadn’t heard it for ages, so thought i’d give it a go! all recorded in the studio at home (it was too cold by the bar!) – Hope you like it.

Hello and a very warm welcome to our new site ‘Guitarfromthebar’ – thanks for taking time to drop in. My name is Mark Gandy and I am, amongst other things, a guitarist and a part time bar-designed based in Hale, South Manchester.

My wife Jules and I came up with idea of broadcasting live music from our home made bar in the garden, which we named ‘Hale’s Hidden Hut’, when it opened 3 years ago! As we are all currently in lockdown and we have two musicians in the house, we thought this would be the ideal time to set this up – so please watch out for live broadcasts in the coming weeks. Music to follow!

Live Music from the Bar

So what type of live music can you expect at ‘www.GuitarfromtheBar.com’ I hear you ask? well in the short term, during this period of lockdown, you’ll get songs from myself Mark Gandy and my daughter, Tash – Tash has a great voice and lots of singing experience, via the Music place in Altrincham, and playing live around the North West..

My band of 20 years is NorthernAdult, which is a collaboration between myself and Rick Welton – Check out content (and songs) over at our main site http://www.NorthernAdult.com.

Once the Lockdown is lifted, we’ll be looking at getting in some more talent (ie: our musical friends!), to keep you entertained.
